BricsCAD® Civil Basics
This training is aimed at BricsCAD® users who want to get to know BricsCAD® Civil, refresh their existing knowledge, or make targeted use of the Civil functions for their daily work.
The focus is on the practical handling of terrain data in BricsCAD® Civil. In addition to the basic functions, you will learn how to work with civil points, digital terrain models (TIN), gradings and slopes, as well as the options for simple quantity calculation.
Another focus is on the creation and editing of alignments and profile bodies as well as their representation in vertical alignment views and sections. The individual functions are linked together using typical tasks as examples.
Using a practical case study, the functions presented are applied and deepened directly. In this way, in addition to the basic knowledge, you will also receive practical solutions and tips for using BricsCAD® Civil in your daily projects, whether it be excavations, embankments or slopes.
Training location: Online
Minimum number of participants: 3
Maximum number of participants: 6
Training duration: 2 days, each with 4.5 hours from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm (including a 20-minute break per day)
If fewer than 3 participants register, the training will take place on another date, which will be coordinated with you.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Windows (file management)
- At least 2 monitors
- BricsCAD® Pro installation of the latest version
- Basic CAD knowledge
- Recommended: TeamViewer installation Download here
The training will be conducted using Microsoft Teams.
Overview of course contents
- Overview of the user interface and basic functions
- Integration and use of background maps
- Import of geodata (including SHP, ASCII)
- Working with civil points (symbol styles, label styles, point groups and attributes)
- Creation and editing of TIN surfaces (import types, visualisation, analysis and editing)
- Creation of gradings and slopes
- Extraction of solids with simple quantity calculation
- Creation and editing of alignments and profile bodies
- Vertical alignment view and creation of sections
As part of a case study, the functions presented will be applied and deepened using practical tasks.
