Upgrade

GeoTools is a geo-data CAD application, ideal for viewing, creating, editing, analysing, and reporting geographic CAD data. With over 75% of the functions of AutoCAD Map, GeoTools covers the essential needs of most users.

Data Cleansing & Optimisation:

GeoTools enables efficient data cleansing and optimisation similar to AutoCAD Map, including vertex cleaning, compression, correction of overshoots and undershoots, as well as snap-based intersections. It supports independent point snapping in 2D and 3D and retains all attached entity data (XDATA, object data, attributes).

Topology Creation:

Clean GIS data often requires the creation of closed polygons from connected edges, area annotations, and linking to databases. GeoTools offers all these functions and export to Excel.

Coordinate Conversion:

GeoTools enables complete coordinate conversions between UTM, Transverse Mercator, Albers, and Lambert to lat-long and back, including datum shifts.

Google Earth Integration:

With GeoTools, KML/KMZ data can be imported and exported, as well as geo-referenced views from Google Earth imported into CAD. A semi-automatic process allows the integration of geo-referenced images from Google Earth into BricsCAD.

Surveying & Terrain Modelling:

GeoTools offers functions for creating cross-sections, longitudinal profiles, volume calculations, TIN mesh creation, and more – ideal for surveying and terrain design.

Mining & Geology:

GeoTools is currently developing specialised tools for geology and mining, which will be offered as an additional module.

Railway Design, Transmission Mast Design:

For railway and transmission mast design, GeoTools offers a new, specialised range of functions.

Planning & Visualisation:

Planned tools for urban and neighbourhood planning, zone analysis, and flight path modelling.

The cost from the second year onwards for the support and maintenance contract is €99.80 net.
