BricsCAD® BIM – AI-supported Building Information Modelling Software
The CAD software BricsCAD® BIM, with its advanced BIM technology, is the ideal tool for planning and managing construction projects. The BIM version of the .dwg-based CAD software is a powerful tool that contains all the required BIM functionalities. The architect’s initial design can be created in the new tool BricsCAD® Shape. This simple and intuitive design tool is available free of charge. Like the CAD software, it also works on the basis of the .dwg data format. The architect’s presentation model can therefore be used directly in BricsCAD® BIM after approval by the client. In the process, the individual elements such as walls, windows, doors, columns, etc. are classified and assigned the appropriate properties.
BricsCAD® BIM accomplishes this fully automatically with the intelligent tool BIMify. The architect can therefore fully concentrate on the design of the 3D volume model without having to worry about subsequent classification. In the views and section drawings, all details are automatically synchronised. Calculations can also be carried out in this way, provided the relevant BIM information is added to the model. The specialist planners of the other engineering disciplines can use the same model. Here too, the user benefits from the software’s intelligent tools: if detailed planning is carried out at one point of the building, for example a structural detail, the BIMsuggest tool automatically suggests comparable locations within the structure that could feature the same detail. With just a few mouse clicks, the planner can then transfer their detailed planning to all suitable locations.
In the same way, the MEP trades – from electrical engineering to heating, air conditioning and ventilation technology – also benefit from BIM.
